More thoughts on this site

While you can go back and edit a post, I decided to create a new one to see how it handles multiple entries in one day.

I found something else I like, page elements can be added. They support film clips that can be viewed without leaving the site, Google newsreel (I guess that is like the feeds we have on 360 now) and other goodies.

Bob is grilling outside tonight so of course we just got hit with a thunderstorm!

I'm off to investigate linking this to 360 before the food is done.

This is a test post to see how this place handles photos and permissions. I thought it might be nice if those of us that have Yahoo!360 blogs can also come here and use the group blog function. Of course we can all still keep our Yahoo blogs and in fact we might be able to link them.

Supposedly, I can add "authors" so that the group of us can all create blog posts rather than going back and forth to comment on each other's individually.

Preliminary feedback: it autosaves a draft of the entry! This is helpful if you're like me and get up and down 18 times before the entry is finished, or it just blows up for no reason.Uploading more than one pic is a snap, either from computer or another website. It supports GIF and other photo formats in addition to JPG which is all Yahoo will accept.

The max size is 8MB, pretty generous.

You can set the photo size to display small, medium, or large. The two at the top are medium.

Let's see if it will insert a pic below this text, and choose the small size option.

Well that was weird, it put it at the top (Capucine in the Boulevard outfit is the small size) and reformatted the lower part of the message. Hmm well we can play with that. So far all three pix are from my pc I'm going to try one now from Photobucket...ah there it is down at the bottom Missy cat.

The LionBrand kitten in the upper left hand corner should be animated, is it moving?

OK that's the second time I noticed it reformatted a whole section after I inserted a pic. It's doing something weird with the hard returns I think, not being a word processing guru I dunno but I can live with that easy enough.

I don't like the fact that captions and storytelling will be difficult without being able to move the pix around other than setting right left or center layouts.

Photobucket photo...I guess this is one way to get photos in between text.
