24 Fans of Jack Bauer

Guess who I found today? Yep the one and only. He came straight from prison to Dolton to live! LOL

Actually I had no doll birthdays on this day and went around "trying" to find a doll to buy. After giving up I went grocery shopping and on a whim stopped in at a comic book store called Altered States. I had bought my Jesse Ventura dolls at that store many years ago and hadn't been back since. I guess 'Jack' was calling me LOL

What do you think of him? Great likeness eh! He comes with 2 hand guns, his famous briefcase, cool sunglasses and of course a cell phone. And two extra hands, fists closed.

As you can see by the next few pix, the gals of Dolton have swarmed him LOL
"Put those guns away Jack and come with me."

"You don't want her! Come with me Jack Darling!"

"Ohhhh Jack!"

Population Increase

Had another shopping spree day. MFD called and said my Kittens were in. No not the 4 legged feline kind but the 2 legged "doll" kind. Plus I went shopping for playline dolls too. Got the Bratz gal I had been eyeing for awhile, which now was on sale.
Pix later on the Dolton blog. Oh and another sweater and slack set arrived too.

New Awesome Toys - WOOHOO!

Wow. Just as I hit "publish", Blogger ATE MY POST. Now I have to start over and I am unhappy about it. I don't feel like typing it all over again!

*sigh*

Wanted to show off my new guys. Back in '06, I had ordered the Medicom action figures of Edward Elric and his younger brother Alphonse (in armor form) from the anime series "Fullmetal Alchemist". When these two newest Medicom FMA figures were announced, I had to pre-order them. They arrived today!

Here is everyone all together:

L-R: Armor Al, Human Al, Edward and Colonel Roy Mustang

They are so SO impressive!

More impressive figures--L and Light Yagami from the anime "Death Note".

L-R: L and Light....and a random kitty. :D

I'm thinking of getting another Death Note figure, Misa. Depends on whether she'll still be available once I pay these four new guys off. Ah, but they're worth every penny because they're all so beautifully detailed!

When spring comes, my dollhouse is getting a severe cleaning and rearranging. I have many new residents to move in properly. I think I'll need more Rement food and dishes.

Welcome to the 2007-08 New Year's Ball

This year's theme was Elvis, as I had planned (but failed) to get the ball set up in time for his birthday on January 8th. Okay so I'm a couple weeks late!
Presenting..... *drum roll*
Elvis & the Elvi's!
*applause please* LOL

Here is a few pix of couples dancing to their music. For more pix see the Dolton blog.

Darkhaired Island Princess

Here is the darkhaired Island Princess that I bought at Walmart today. She was reduced to $7 just like Jane's blond version. 2 days ago she was $10 so I'm glad I waited. Although her head is larger than I prefer, she has a very sweet face. She seems to be about half an inch shorter than the usuall Barbie height. She also has the nicest hair I've seen from big M on a playline in a few years. I think she will pair up with Maxime Mann and Darla Baker will fall for the mysterious Gregory Whitsett. I will probably back off from my acquisition drive, but i did see an unopened Flava Tre whose face looks a bit different from the ones I have, so I might get him, too, at Family Dollar.

New Year's Ball (finally)

Couples are arriving at the ball. More pix on the Dolton blog later.

Mel's First Doll of 2008

I bought my first doll for 2008 yesterday. I was at Family Dollar to get cleaning supplies, and saw her on a shelf display right across the aisle from the checkout counter. She is a Pretty Flowers Christie. The series is from 5 years ago and and I really liked them then and bought the blond and redhaired Barbies but never saw Christie. She went right into my basket. I really like her, although I am being very uncreative and naming her Christie Flowers. She will help maintain the Melton rule that no doll is dateless on Saturday Night, LOL. She and Stanley James mke a great couple. I think I'll go over to Walmart later, if it warms up a bit, and see if they still have the blackhaired Island Princess on sale. I still have a dateless guy sitting all alone on my doll shelf . I have decided to designate said shelf Melton East for the time being, at least until I have the rest of my dolls back.

Happy New Year Everyone

Happy New Year to you all. Hope none of you have hangovers LOL

Here's another scene from a previous NY's Ball in Dolton. I also posted on our Health Blog today.

Catch you all later.

Well I'm not a Millionaire *sigh*

We had Millionaire Raffle with the lottery this year. I was 3 numbers away from winning $1000. *sigh* Just as well I guess as I would only have spent it on dolls and there aren't any out there to buy anymore *bigger sigh* But I did win $14 on my other tickets. Big deal eh! LOL
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
It's snowing too!
